In the 19th edition of Chile’s most important wine competition, Catad’Or Santiago Wine Awards, a renowned panel of Chilean and international judges granted medals to two of our wines chosen from among the more than 450 labels tasted.
In its inaugural vintage, our 2013 Single Vineyard Cinsault received a Silver Medal, an award that allows us to predict an exceptional future for this wine.
The 2011 Red One also earned a Silver Medal, which reaffirms the quality and consistency it has demonstrated over time.
Chilcas receives outstanding international praise.
In the most recent review of Chilean wines by the renowned US magazine Wine Spectator, our 2010 Chilcas Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon stood out with a score of 90 points.
“This wine has an intense ruby-red color. The very intense nose offers aromas of blueberries, plums, and subtle spices such as black pepper integrated with the oak. The palate has very good volume and is highly persistent. A wine with tremendous presence and personality that stands out for its firm and voluminous tannins and its great persistence.”
Chief Winemaker, Chilcas.
