Colchagua Valley

Nilahue Vineyard

The Colchagua Valley has played a leading role in the great development of Chilean vine-growing in recent decades, and is now recognised worldwide as an appellation of world-class wines in red varieties.

Climate

Our Nilahue Vineyard has a Mediterranean climate characterised by well-defined seasons. The low humidity, the influence of the Pacific Ocean and the breeze from the Coastal Range produce a thermal range of around 10°C: ideal vine-growing conditions.

These are deeply stratified hills, alluvial in origin. The soil has a fine clayey texture and includes rocks with different degrees of erosion. It is low in organic matter and fertility.
